10 posts · Joined 2003. #1 · May 4, 2009. 1964 Chevelle with 2004r. I am in the process of swappping the stock driveshaft for an Aluminum one. In the process, I noticed that the tailshaft busshing had gone bad (witness marks on the yoke). Since the 2004r trans does not have a removal tail housing, I need some advice on how to remove/reinstall.
