The CKX Contact is a great helmet…but it needs to be plugged in as the ventilation is very limited. Because of the limited venting it is very warm and quiet and wearing glasses doesn't work great. The view is probably the best of all helmets, even the Oxygen helmet which has more glass but is partially blocked by the deflector.

The Ski-Doo Oxygen Helmet seems to be a well-constructed piece of gear, which is always a good sign. The first thing that I noticed was how quiet it is on the inside. I mean, it's so quiet that you can actually hear your own thoughts! The goodness doesn't stop there though; the fit is truly something to talk about.

The way you do it is just leave the helmet on until you are ready to take it off. It is not a helmet you take off at a 5 min rest while waiting or chatting with friends. 495 Posts. #27 · Dec 16, 2021. I have had an Oxygen since year one. With the first shield i did have distortion issues. Doo replaced the shield under warranty. No issues with with the helmet since. Warmest, quietest, best field of view of any helmet I have ever owned. Never had any issues with fogging. Share.
